Child Support Documents and Payment Records Checklist

A privacy-conscious checklist for support orders, judgments, agency statements, receipts, checks, and payment acknowledgments.

A child support tracker should contain enough information to explain payments without becoming a second family-law case file.

Master Document

Use the current signed judgment or support order as the master document. Add later modifications and clearly label effective dates. A worksheet or calculator report can be supporting material, but it may not be the controlling order.

Supporting Payment Records

- State disbursement or child support agency statements - Wage-withholding statements - Bank transfer confirmations - Cancelled checks - Payment app receipts - Signed cash receipts - Notes identifying the period covered - Participant acknowledgments or disputes

Information to Leave Out

Do not upload full Social Security numbers, complete bank account numbers, medical records, school records, custody evidence, or unrelated pages from a judgment. Use a child’s first name and last initial where possible.

Nationwide Records Need State Context

Select the state associated with the record, but remember that a state label does not determine jurisdiction or governing law. Official payment systems and terminology vary. Use the relevant court or state child support agency for authoritative balances and enforcement information.

JimBondy does not report payments to an agency, calculate guideline support, or modify or enforce an order.
